Don Lemon isn’t letting the rumors fly unchecked.
After Kanye West accused him of spreading false claims that the rapper and his wife, Bianca Censori, were kicked out of the 2025 Grammys, the former CNN anchor quickly shut down the allegation.
“First of all, Kanye, Yee, Ye—whatever your name is,” Lemon said in a YouTube video posted on Feb. 3, “I did not start a rumor about you being kicked out of the Grammys. I actually corrected it.”
In fact, the 58-year-old, who was reporting from the red carpet, revealed that someone from Kanye’s own team personally approached him to set the record straight. “I saw someone on your team who asked me to correct it because it had been reported everywhere,” Lemon explained.
So, rather than fueling speculation, Lemon insists he was simply clearing up misinformation at the request of West’s inner circle.

The 58-year-old, who covered the event from the red carpet, revealed that someone from Kanye’s own team approached him to clear up the misinformation. “I saw someone on your team who asked me to correct it because it had been reported everywhere,” he explained.
Closing out his message, Lemon had a direct piece of advice for Kanye: “Get all your s–t straight.”
The speculation started when Kanye and Bianca—who tied the knot in December 2022—left the Grammys shortly after walking the red carpet, where Bianca made headlines by posing completely naked. However, E! News confirmed that the rumors were false—the couple simply got in their car and left on their own terms.
Kanye West Fires Back Amid Grammy Rumors
The drama didn’t end there.
The following day, Kanye West also addressed the speculation, doubling down on his belief that Don Lemon was responsible for spreading the rumor.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, the Gold Digger rapper shared a photo of the journalist and wrote, per People, “This goofball that started the rumor that me and my wife got kicked out the Grammies [sic].”
Despite both Lemon and E! News confirming that the claim was false, it seems Kanye isn’t letting the issue go just yet.
